IMPROVEMENT OF WALL SURFACE SMOOTHNESS, FEATURE ACCURACY AND RESOLUTION OF PROJECTED IMAGE BY EXPOSURE LEVEL IN SOLID IMAGE FORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an actually inexpensive system that forms a very accurate and visually attractive three-dimensional object in a short construction time. SOLUTION: There are provided a forming apparatus and a method of the solid image using an exposure level that can be changed depending on a gray scale or a time or both of a lateral cross-sectional image of the three-dimensional object digitally optically projected on a curable photopolymer build material. When the gray scale level of the exposure of projection pixels is used, it is possible to keep the feature of the image in the three-dimensional object by controlling the overlapping boundary line in the projected boundary line pixels. Further it is possible to smooth a rough edge or a non-flat edge that should generate ordinarily by using a digital light projector limited by the number of pixels in the image projected along the size of the image.
