Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side trimming device, suitably constraining a steel plate even when a board thickness of the steel plate changes to enable efficient and favorable side trimming. SOLUTION: In this side trimming device, an upper plate ring 13 includes: an outer shell made of hard ring; a contracting part 22, which is provided between the outer shell 23 and a rotating shaft 21 of an upper blade 11, the interior of which is filled with fluid (e.g. oil) to be expandable in the radial direction; and two accumulators 24, 25 communicating with the contracting part 22 through a pipeline 26.
