Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving assist system for further stably detecting a pedestrian when a vehicle is traveling at night. SOLUTION: The driving assist system corrects a pickup image acquired by an image pickup means imaging the periphery of a vehicle including a road (S103) according to the amounts of vibration of a vehicle, and detects a road area equivalent to the road from the corrected pickup image (S104), and decides whether or not a pedestrian candidate detected from the pickup image is a pedestrian based on a positional relationship between the pedestrian candidate and the detected road area (S107 and S108).
