Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of uniformly maintaining the valve temperature between cylinders, by restraining a drop in the valve temperature, in a resting cylinder of the internal combustion engine, in the control device of the internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine having a plurality of cylinders, has a valve train for independently driving at least an intake valve for opening and closing with respective cylinders among the intake valve and an exhaust valve, and drives the valve train so that valves of the whole cylinders of the internal combustion engine become a valve opening state when an operation of the internal combustion engine is stopped. Alternatively, a variable cylinder engine capable of selecting cylinder reduction operation for stopping operation in a partial cylinder among the plurality of cylinders, drives the valve train so that a valve of an operation resting cylinder becomes a valve opening-closing state of reducing a heat transfer quantity, by respectively calculating the heat transfer quantity to an external part from the valve, when the valve of the operation resting cylinder in the cylinder reduction operation is a valve opening state and a valve closing state.
