Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective fence which offers a structural integration extending from a metal joint to a cap that can be sensed near the top of a post even when the width of the joint is greatly smaller than that of the post, and reduces a fear of deformation of the cap top face even when impact is applied to the cap. SOLUTION: A cap top face 11 on the top face of the cap 1 is almost continuous with a joint top face 21 on the top face of the metal joint 2, and a cap top face width W3 is almost equal to a joint top face width W1. This offers the structural integration extending from the metal joint 2 to the cap 1 that can be sensed near the top of the post 3 even when the width of the joint metal 2 is smaller than that of the post 3. A sloped surface 12 extending down from the cap top face 11 toward the outer edge of the post 3 is formed on the top face of the cap 1. This results in the formation of a rib 13 between the cap top face 11 and the sloped surface 12, which reduces a fear of deformation of the top face of the cap 1 when an impact is applied to the cap 1.
