VENTING AND WATERPROOF STRUCTURE BETWEEN FOUNDATION AND EXTERNAL WALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a venting and waterproof structure between a foundation and an external wall, which ensures an effective underfloor ventilation amount, and positively prevents infiltration of rainwater into an underfloor area in case of blowing of strong wind such as a typhoon. SOLUTION: According to the venting and waterproof structure, an underfloor ventilating hole 8 is secured between the foundation 1 and an external wall panel 2, and covered with a draining member 9 from outside a building. The draining member 9 has formed therein a venting opening 10 facing the outside of the building, and a passage area 24 connecting between the venting opening 10 and the underfloor ventilating hole 8 has arranged therein a three-dimensional net member 13 for allowing ventilation but inhibiting rainwater from passing therethrough.
