Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device by which all monitoring areas can be uniformly monitored and missing of abnormality in an object to be monitored can be reduced by performing efficient monitoring using a small number of image processors. SOLUTION: Video images from a plurality of monitoring cameras 200-1 to 200-n are sequentially selected and output at intervals of a predetermined time by a camera selection device 210. Image processing is applied to the video image output from the camera selection device 210 by an image processor 220, the abnormal state of the object to be monitored is detected and identification information of a monitoring camera that has output the video image of the abnormal state is output. A monitor video image output device 230 selects the monitoring camera corresponding to the identification information output from the image processor 220 and the monitor video image is output and displayed on a monitor 240.
