Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet switching apparatus which provides improved packet processing reliability by avoiding discarding a control packet with a high processing priority. SOLUTION: In the packet switching apparatus 200, each of a transfer control part 101 and an apparatus control part 102 holds a packet priority table 1200 for judging a packet processing priority. By updating the packet priority table 1200 in accordance with a packet arrival frequency, a processing priority or the like, the transfer frequency of packets addressed to the apparatus control part to the apparatus control part 102.
