ANGLE TRANSDUCER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart the ability to make very accurate measurements of angles, to an angle transducer. SOLUTION: The angle transducer includes a rotor disk (1) having receiver electrodes(2); and a stator disk (4), having transmitter electrodes (3) disposed on the same radius as those of the receiver electrodes, whereby the disks (1, 4) are rotatable relative to each other, and the receiver electrodes and the transmitter electrodes are coupled capacitively or inductively. The transmitter electrodes (3) are each supplied with an alternating voltage having different Φ number of phases, and the relation (separation of the transmitter electrodes)=(separation of receiver electrodes/ ) holds. Furthermore, the disks (1, 4) include additional electrodes that produce signals of equal magnitudes but which are opposite. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
