SOLUTION: After starting the shift operation of a Step S1, before starting an inertia phase of Step S13, pre-torque-down for reducing input torque Ti up to the balance torque Tpredof input torque Tinitialor smaller at a shift operation starting time, larger than a torque down value Tdafter starting the inertia phase, and fastening operation for setting a transmission torque capacity Tcl of a fastening friction element to the balance torque Tpredare performed in Step S10 to Step S12.
