Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift display device for an automatic transmission capable of notifying a driver of a present shift position even if a failure on a display unit occurs in a shift control system of a shift-by-wire method. SOLUTION: A mechanical link mechanism comprises a disk 602 which is a power component of the link mechanism provided at a manual shaft 102 for moving a roller to a valley of at a requested shift position by turning a detent plate, a first movable pin 604 provided at the outer circumferential edge of the disk 602, a first rod 606 connected to the disk 602 by the first movable pin 604, and a second rod 612 connected to the first rod 606 by the second movable pin 608. The second rod 612 is turned around a fixed pin 610 according to the turn of the disk 602, and an arrow plate 502 at the tip of the second rod 612 points a plate at the present shift position.
