Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine which can perform variable speed operation in a wide range from low speed to high speed, and can achieve improvements in efficiency, reliability and manufacturing performance in the wide operation range. SOLUTION: In this permanent magnet type rotating electric machine, one magnetic pole is formed by embedding two kinds of permanent magnets different in shapes and material characteristics into a rotor core, and the permanent magnet arranged at the magnetic pole is constituted of a permanent magnet in which the product of coercive force and a thickness in a magnetization direction becomes small, and a permanent magnet in which the product of the coercive force and the thickness in the magnetization direction becomes large. A full interlinkage magnetic flux amount is changed by reversibly magnetizing the permanent magnet in which the product of the coercive force and the thickness in the magnetization direction becomes small by using a magnetic field formed by a current of an armature winding. By this, the variable speed operation with a high output and in the wide range becomes possible, and high efficiency in the wide operation range can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
