FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device having high efficiency in temperature-rise, sufficiently securing a nip amount at a nip part, thereby having good fixation on an output image, and securing efficient temperature self-controllability, thereby capable of surely preventing the excessive temperature rise of a fixing roller, with comparatively simple constitution, and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a magnetic flux generating means 24 for generating a magnetic flux; the fixing roller 20 having a heat generating layer 20b heated by the magnetic flux and a magnetic flux control layer 20d for controlling the magnetic flux when the temperature of the heat generating layer 20b reaches a Curie point; a pressure roller 30 for pressurizing a recording medium P conveyed to the nip part formed by the fixing roller 20 and the pressure roller 30. The fixing roller 20 includes at least six layers successively formed from the outer peripheral surface side to the inner part, that are, a mold release layer 20a, the heat generating layer 20b, a first elastic layer 20c, the magnetic flux control layer 20d, a second elastic layer 20e and a core metal layer 20f.
