CRADLE TRANSFERRING DEVICE USED FOR MEDICAL IMAGING EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cradle transferring device which moves a cradle onto an MRI examination table to be recovered in a PET-MRI fusion imaging system. SOLUTION: The device is provided with the cradle so formed as to make a subject lie on it, a shuttle table adapted to transfer the cradle onto the MRI examination table supporting it for recovery and a cradle housing member provided on the examination table to maintain the cradle on the MRI examination table. The shuttle table is provided with a transfer member for transferring the cradle and a transfer member drive means for the reciprocation of the transfer member along the shuttle table. The cradle transfer device is further provided with a cradle fixing means for fixing the cradle on the examination table after being transferred onto the examination table. Thus, the cradle is moved onto the MRI examination table and after the end of the MRI examination. it is recovered easily and accurately from the examination table. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
