Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize directivity having less amount of ripple with a comparatively small-sized ultrasonic wave transmitter and an ultrasonic wave apparatus having been constituted by arranging a plurality of ultrasonic wave transmitting elements in the shape of an arc or a partial spherical surface shape. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic wave transmitter is constituted by arranging a plurality of ultrasonic wave transmitting elements in the shape of arc or partial spherical surface within the horizontal surface in order to realize uniform frequency characteristic in each direction through reduction of ripple having ultrasonic wave transmission directivity. In this ultrasonic wave transmitter, the ultrasonic wave transmitting directivity with less amount of ripple is formed by arranging the elements in different number of elements of a line for each line to reduce top and bottom of ripple of the directivity formed by the number of elements arranged in a certain line in accordance with the top and bottom of ripple of the directivity formed by the number of elements arranged in the other line.
