Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate corrosion occurrence of a structure due to microorganisms, faithfully reflecting activities of microorganisms in the real natural environment. SOLUTION: Test piece 1 of stainless steel is immersed on-site and directly in water in a dam or the like. A spontaneous potential of the test piece is measured at a given time interval. The measurement result is stored in a data logger. The stored spontaneous potential is compared with a corroded-crevice repassivation potential of the test piece 1 measured using the water in the dam or the like. It is judged as corrosion occurrence due to microorganisms if the spontaneous potential is higher than the corroded-crevice repassivation potential. This test piece 1 is fixed to a tool 2, and a float 3 is provided in the tool 2 so that the test piece 1 is always immersed at a constant depth to enable an accurate evaluation under a constant condition.
