COAL COMBUSTION METHOD AND COAL COMBUSTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coal combustion method and a coal combustion device, capable of reducing an unburnt component concentration in ash and reducing an NOXconcentration when combusting a plurality of kinds of dust coal even by use of existing equipment without requiring a large amount of equipment investment. SOLUTION: In this coal combustion method combusting the dust coal by use of the combustion device (the coal combustion device 100) having a combustion chamber (a boiler furnace 2) inside which a plurality of burners with the dust coal as fuel are vertically provided, the dust coal is composed of: first dust coal; and second dust coal having a combustion ratio smaller than the first dust coal. The first dust coal is supplied to burners 3a, 3b positioned downward, and the second dust coal is supplied to a burner 3c positioned above the burners 3a, 3b positioned below.
