Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a molten metal for an aluminum based composite material having excellent wettability, and in which a reinforcing material can be uniformly dispersed into a base material. SOLUTION: The method is provided with: a stage where gaseous nitrogen, Mg, pulverized ceramics and molten aluminum are prepared; a stage where the gaseous nitrogen (N2) is heated to a prescribed temperature; a stage where the high temperature gaseous nitrogen is brought into contact with Mg, so as to produce gaseous magnesium nitride (Mg3N2); a stage where the gaseous magnesium nitride (Mg3N2) is brought into contact with the ceramics powder (Al2O3), so as to activate the surface of the ceramics powder (Al2O3); and a stage where the activated ceramics powder (Al2O3) is blown into the molten aluminum, so as to be dispersed.
