ELECTRIC RICE COOKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain as excellent water absorption performance as possible in an electric rice cooker of an electromagnetic heating system which uses an inner pot made of a nonmetallic material. SOLUTION: The electric rice cooker includes: a nonmetallic-material-made inner pot for storing water and rice; a rice cooker body for housing the inner pot removably; a lid body for covering an upper part opening of the rice cooker body so that it freely opens/closes; a rice cooking heating means of an electromagnetic heating system for heating the inner pot; an inner pot temperature detecting means for detecting temperature of the inner pot; and a rice cooking heating control means for controlling heating output of the rice cooking heating means on the basis of the inner pot temperature detected by the inner pot temperature detecting means. The rice cooking heating control means performs water absorption heating control by setting an output value of the rice cooking heating means in an water absorption process to one equal to 70% rated power or smaller and equal to 50% duty ratio or smaller.
