THERMOELECTRIC CONVERTER AND ITS MANUFACTURING PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric converter in which electric insulation is attained without deteriorating heat exchange performance and air supply performance, and to provide its manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The process for manufacturing a thermoelectric converter comprises a step for bonding a plurality of heat exchange members, respectively, to a pair of thermoelectric elements, a step for immersing a thermoelectric element substrate 10 into molten insulating material in an electrodeposition tub and coating the thermoelectric element substrate with the insulating material by applying a predetermined voltage to terminals 24a and 24b, after the bonding step, and a step for burning the thermoelectric element substrate 10 coated with the insulating material by the immersing step at high temperature to form an insulating layer. With such an arrangement, electrical insulation is attained without deteriorating heat exchange performance and air supply performance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
