Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of inhibition of flow caused by drift depositions such as dust and driftwood, malfunction of an apparatus, accumulation of earth and sand, insufficient countermeasures against a problem when water is abnormally increased, and difficulty in arrangement and usage in a spacious place, which are the subjects of a small hydraulic power generating device. SOLUTION: The hydraulic power generating device of the present invention is provided with: a streaky screen part in which a streaky screen formed in a manner that plate-like long members for preventing inflow of drift depositions obstructing the device are arranged in parallel at approximately equal intervals is arranged slantedly to a stream; a water conducting part having a square cylindrical shape, in which, in its inside, a plate-like water conducting part for conducting flowing water into an area on a side contributing to the rotational force of a water wheel is slantedly arranged; a water wheel part having a peripheral part formed into a square cylindrical shape, in which a water wheel having a rotary shaft arranged in a direction orthogonal to the stream and also horizontal to a water surface and rotatably supported in its both end parts is incorporated; a means capable of generating electricity by transmitting rotational force of the water wheel to a generator; and a means fixed to a water bottom in rivers or the like and to the vicinity of a downstream side of a dam or the like.
