RECORDING PAPER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide recording paper increased in strength without deteriorating texture, and to provide a method for producing the paper. SOLUTION: The recording paper is provided by compounded in the stock pulp, ≥10 mass% but ≤70 mass% chemical pulp made from conifer, wherein the stock pulp has 1.05-1.55 mm average fiber length, ≥60 mass% but ≤100 mass% cryptomeria wood is contained in the conifer stock and the cryptomeria wood contains ≥20 but ≤100% wood of ≥15 year but ≤50 year tree age, and the method for producing recording paper comprises unperforming beating treatment of the conifer chemical pulp of the amount corresponding to ≤30 mass% of conifer chemical pulp stock and to ≤50 mass% of whole chemical pulp.
