PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the accurate reception or discharge of tokens by correctly counting the number of cast tokens. SOLUTION: The tokens pass through a token receiving port 172 to be stacked flat in a box body 171. The pressure of the tokens stacked is detected with a pressure sensor 177 to determine the number of tokens. When the number of tokens exceeds three, an electromagnetic solenoid 184 is excited to force a token push-out plate 182 forward so that three tokens are discharged at a time from a token discharge port 175, and then, the token push out plate 182 is retracted backward. When the number of tokens detected is less than three, an electromagnetic solenoid 185 is excited to force a token push-out plate 183 forward so that the number of tokens exceeding no more than three is discharged from a token discharge port 176 and then, the token push-out plate 183 is retracted backward.
