COMPONENT FOR CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component provided with a contact part and soldering part having a surface which satisfies in terms of many items, such as electrical contact reliability or wear resistance, appearance state, soldering properties, creep-up prevention properties in soldering, corrosion resistance, generation properties of whiskers in contact-pressing, appearance changes (heat resistance) at heating, and the price, and to provide a connector that uses the component. SOLUTION: The component for the connector provided with at least either of the contact part and a solder connection part is formed, by applying a nickel plated layer as an underlying plated layer, and applying an alloy plated layer of tin and nickel as an overlying plated layer on the underlying plated layer on a base material used for the component, and the average composition of the alloy plated layer comprises element ratios of 45-60 atom% tin, and 55-40 atom% nickel that are contained substantially as residues.
