PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel realizing high-quality image display even in a large-screen and high-definition display. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel oppositely placing a front plate 2 with display electrodes formed on a front glass substrate and a rear-face plate 10 with write-in electrodes formed on the substrate and sealing them with a sealing material 50, and forming a display area F and a non-display area, is provided. The non-display area is provided with a first non-display area G having barrier ribs 14 adjacent to and forming the display area F, a second non-display area H adjacent to the first non-display area G and having barrier ribs 20, 21 with shapes different from those of the barrier ribs 14, and the sealing material 50 at an outer periphery part of the barrier ribs 21 of the second non-display area H, with a coating film 72 as an impure gas-absorbing layer provided at least in one of a space 70 adjacent to the barrier ribs 14 of the first non-display area G and a space 71 adjacent to the barrier ribs 20, 21 of the second non-display area H.
