Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly restore data by reducing required disk capacity while always holding consistent data, and giving redundancy to a backup logical unit. SOLUTION: In this data backup system 12, a logical unit 34 (#1) and a logical unit 32 are connected, and master data stored in the logical unit 32 is copied into the logical unit 34 (#1). The logical unit 32 and the logical unit 34 (#1) are then separated from each other. After separation, the logical unit 34 (#1) and a logical unit 34 (#2) are connected, and after backup data stored in the logical unit 34 (#1) is copied into the logical unit 34 (#2), both logical units are made into RAID1.
