CYLINDRICAL SHAFT SEALING MATERIAL CONSTITUTED OF PILE OR FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical shaft sealing material for preventing the leakage of powder, used as a shaft seal for the rotating shaft of a powder processing roller etc. for processing with powder such as toner in an electrophotographic image processor. SOLUTION: The cylindrical sealing member 2a for a supply roller 10 using the powder such as toner in the electrophotographic image processor 8 shown in Fig.12, is constituted of fibers 4 and a cylindrical supporting member 2b, the fibers 4 are flocked on the cylindrical supporting member 2b by an electrostatic flocking method, or the member 2a has piles of a pile texture formed inside the cylindrical supporting member 2b, and the outside diameter of the cylindrical sealing member 2a is as large as or slightly larger than the outer periphery of the attachment hole into which the cylindrical sealing member 2a is inserted before the insertion of the member 2a, and the sealing material 2 can be attached to the attachment hole in a press-inserted state with the elasticity of the supporting member 2b against the external pressure at the insertion of the member 2a.
