CYLINDRICAL SEALING MEMBER CONSTITUTED OF PILE OR FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical sealing member for preventing the leakage of powder, used as a shaft seal for the rotating shaft of a powder processing etc. for processing with powder such as toner in an electrophotographic image processor. SOLUTION: The cylindrical sealing member 2a shown in Fig. 7 for a rotator 5 using the toner for the electrophotographic image processor 8 is cylindrically constituted of pile or fiber 4 and a supporting member 2c, and the pile or fiber 4 is cylindrically constituted of fibers 4a flocked on the supporting member 2c by an electrostatic flocking method or a pile texture 4c having cut piles 4b formed inside the supporting member 2c, and the outside diameter 2g of the cylindrical sealing member 2a is as large as or slightly larger than an attachment hole 6b into which the cylindrical sealing member 2a is inserted before attaching the member 2a, and a zigzag slit 7b is provided so that the member 2a can be attached in the attachment hole 6b in a press-inserted state with the elasticity of the supporting member 2c against the external pressure at the insertion.
