Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piping system and a pipe connecting method, capable of reducing field working time and working labor for piping work in setting of a hot water supply system including a hot water storage device and a heating device. SOLUTION: The piping system for connecting, in the hot water supply system including a heat pump unit 10 for heating water and a hot water storage tank 20 for storing the water heated by the heat pump unit 10, the heat pump unit 10 to the hot water storage tank 20, comprises pipes 21a and 22a for connecting the heat pump unit 10 to the storage tank 20; and an auxiliary piping unit 100 used with the pipes 21a and 22a, one end thereof being connected to at least either of the heat pump unit 10 and the storage tank 20 and the other end being connected to ends of the pipes 21a and 22a. The configuration of the unit 100 is standardized based on the positional relation between a housing structure in which the hot water supply system is set and the heat pump unit 10 or the storage tank 20.
