SOLUTION: This fuel combustion burner operating method for operating the fuel combustion burner of an emission reducing assembly comprises a step of feeding a flow of exhaust gas into a housing of the fuel combustion burner, and a step of parting the flow of the exhaust gas into (i) a combustion flow which is fed through the combustion chamber of the fuel combustion burner and (ii) a bypassing flow which bypasses around the combustion chamber of the fuel combustion burner, and is about 70% or lower of the flow of the exhaust gas.
