METHOD OF AUTOMATICALLY DETECTING QUALITY OF MIGRATION COMPENSATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for achieving the compensation of an improved wall film effect for conventional technology. SOLUTION: During the operation of a gasoline engine in which migration compensation is activated, the process of a lambda value and a load is detected in an inspection phase, and a load change relating thereto is extracted depending on the detected process. The load change is a change from a first load to a second load different from the first load. The extracted load change is classified depending on a predetermined classification standard. At least one lambda value is assigned to each load change, and a quality value for each extracted load change is detected depending on a deviation between at least one assigned lambda value and at least one predetermined target lambda value. The detected quality value is weighted in relation to the based classification of the load change. Depending on the weighted quality value, the whole quality is detected by applying at least one statistic method. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
