Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress any counter-electromotive voltage to be generated due to the rotation of a motor MG1 from becoming large when a transistor of an inverter 41 is under a stuck-on state and to prevent the motor MG1 and the inverter from being damaged further. SOLUTION: When any of the transistors of an invertor 41 breaks down in an ON status, the intake valve and exhaust valve of an engine 22 are held in an open status. Thus, it is possible to reduce energy required for rotating the engine 22, and to suppress the absolute value of the revolution speed of the motor MG1 from becoming large. As a result, it is possible to more suppress any counter-electromotive voltage to be generated due to the rotation of the motor MG1 from becoming large, and to suppress the motor MG1 or the inverter 41 from being damaged further.
