ID CARD ISSUING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ID card issuing system which can perform a rear surface printing while suppressing costs. SOLUTION: The CPU of an issuing apparatus comprises a first judging program, a first editing program, a surface printing control program, a second judging program 66A, a second editing program 66B, and a rear surface printing control program 66C. In this case, the first judging program makes a judgement performed for whether the character amount of character data being stored in a data base is not less than a specified row number which can be printed on the surface of an ID card or not. The first editing program makes surface character data edited from the character data when the character amount has been judged to be not less than the specified row number. The surface printing control program makes characters based on the surface character data and specified identification information printed on the front surface by a surface printer. The second judging program 66A makes the CPU 64 of a rear surface printer 6 judge whether the identification information has been detected by a character detecting section 61 or not. The second editing program 66B makes rear surface character data edited from the character data when the detection of the identification information has been judged.
