Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of economically practically treating crude glycerol produced as a by product when a biodiesel fuel is produced from a waste edible oil. SOLUTION: Crude glycerol is decomposed utilizing an anaerobic thermophilic microorganism. The treatment method of decomposing crude glycerol produced as a by product together with alkyl ester of fatty acid provided by a product particularly when the biodiesel fuel using the waste edible oil and alcohol as a raw material is produced employs means comprising a first process of mixing an organic waste material containing a microorganism with the crude glycerol and a second process of carrying out the changeover of a mixture obtained in the first process.
