Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for attracting a user's attention for cost reduction by displaying a method providing a cheaper cost for image forming before printing. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with an image read section 6 for acquiring the number and size of the originals, and a control section 1 that acquires one or more image forming methods depending on the number and size of the originals by the image read section 6, extracts a predetermined number of image forming costs in the case of forming the image by the acquired image forming methods in the cheaper order, and displays the extracted image forming methods by explicitly expressing the ranking of the image forming costs.
