Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for preventing or improving the type 2 diabetes, obesity or insulin resistance by ingesting crushed products or extracts derived from a plant that has abundant dietary experiences and exhibits adiponectin production-promoting actions. SOLUTION: The composition exhibiting adiponectin production-promoting activities comprises crushed products or extracts of seeds, leaves, flowers, stems or the like of a plant belonging to the genus Silybum, preferably milk thistle, or extracts obtained therefrom using a solvent.
