IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can improve an efficiency of operation when a memory-full is generated, while suppressing costs. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 comprises an image data storage means 300 which stores input image data, a storage method changing means 430 which changes a storage method of the image data, an output means 500 which outputs the image data, a free capacity detecting means 410 which detects a free capacity of the image data storage means 300, a free capacity judging means 420 which judges that the free capacity is not larger than a predetermined value, and a storage method selecting means 440 which urges selection of the storage method stored by the image data storage means 300. When the free capacity is judged to be not larger than the predetermined value by the free capacity judging means 420, the storage method selecting means 440 urges selection of the storage method, the storage method changing means 430 changes the storage method of the image data on the basis of the storage method selected by the storage method selecting means 440, and the output means 500 outputs the image data stored by the changed storage method.
