BATTERY PACK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a protection element to a projecting electrode of a rivet by caulking work while reducing a production cost by making the protection element and a sealing plate simple. SOLUTION: A battery pack is connected to the projecting electrode 4 comprising the rivet 5 passing through the sealing plate 3 of a battery 1 and the protection element 10 is installed on the outside of the sealing plate 3. The protection element 10 has laminated structure interposing a heat-sensitive chip 12 between a first connection metal terminal 11A and a second connection metal terminal 11B, and the first connection metal terminal 11A is installed on the counter surface to the sealing plate 3. The first connection metal terminal 11A is fixed to the projecting electrode 4 by inserting the caulked rivet 5 into a through hole 14 installed in a projection part 13 projecting from the heat-sensitive chip 12 to the outer periphery. The second connection metal terminal 11B of the protection element 10 is made to be used as an output terminal of the battery pack by using the surface as a connection terminal surface 15 or connected to a substrate 20 to which the output terminal 21 is fixed.
