DRY DISTILLATION GAS COOLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry distillation gas cooler efficiently recovering sludge in the dry distillation gas. SOLUTION: The primary dry distillation gas cooler 20 is designed to cool the dry distillation gas and recover an oil (a liquefied material) and is composed as follows. The primary dry distillation gas cooler 20 is equipped with a gas introduction chamber 21 in which the dry distillation gas is introduced, a liquefied material recovering chamber 26 for recovering the liquefied material of a liquefied dry distillation gas, a main heat exchange part 22 for cooling the dry distillation gas, a gas recovering chamber 24 for recovering the dry distillation gas passing through the main heat exchange part 22 and making the recovered dry distillation gas flow out of a gas exhaust port 28 and cooling pipe groups 32 and 33 interposed in the gas introduction chamber 21 in a body 30 of the primary dry distillation gas cooler 20. Cooling water (a cooling medium) flows in the interior of the cooling pipe groups 32 and 33 and the sludge deposited from the dry distillation gas flowing on the outside of the cooling pipe groups 32 and 33, together with the liquefied material, is passed through the liquefied material recovering chamber 26 and discharged.
