SAFETY DEVICE OF ELEVATOR DOOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device of an elevator door which is constituted of only one sensor to be mounted to ensure the safety of the elevator door, in other words, the sensor to be mounted only on one side. SOLUTION: The safety device of the elevator door 3 comprises a non-contact distance sensor 8 facing the door across an entrance 2 for measuring the distance of a door-opening space, and a safety control device having a speed calculation means for calculating the speed by performing the temporal differentiation of the measured distance, a determination means for determining that a user is present at an entrance when the calculated speed exceeds the predetermined maximum door closing speed while closing the door, and determining that a user is present at the entrance when the measured distance is less than the predetermined maximum door opening distance while the door is kept open, and a door opening control command output means which changes the door operation to the door opening when determining that the user is at the entrance while closing the door, and keeps the door open when determining that the user is present at the entrance while the door is kept open.
