Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent steering torque from getting unnecessarily heavy and to suppress vibration caused by input from a road surface from being transmitted to a steering member in a steering device. SOLUTION: When a pinion shaft 7 as a rotation member is rotated accompanying with operation of the steering member 2, an impeller member 18 is rotated in a fluid chamber 17 stored with a viscous fluid 16. Attenuation force generated by the impeller member 18 depends on a rotation speed of the pinion shaft 7. Sufficient large attenuation force is applied to rotation vibration of the pinion shaft 7 caused by input from the road surface. An orifice 21 is provided on the impeller member 18. The attenuation force is reduced when the rotation speed of the pinion shaft 7 corresponding to steering operation is relatively low. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
