DEODORIZATION APPARATUS AND GARBAGE DISPOSAL UNIT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorization apparatus which aims to enhance the assemblability, aims to eliminate the deformation of a catalyst fin and aims to assure the airtightness of a deodorization passageway. SOLUTION: The deodorization apparatus is comprised of a catalyst fin 44 forming a deodorization passageway 45 by a belt-like plate, a deodorization vessel 51 to store the catalyst fin 44, sealing members 56A, 56B which are arranged at each of both spiral type marginal parts of the catalyst fin 44, a vessel cover 54 to bring the sealing members 56A, 56B into contact with both spiral type marginal parts of the catalyst fin 44 under pressure and a spacer 49 forming a gap between the catalyst fin 44 and the deodorization vessel 51. Thus, the catalyst fin 44 can be smoothly stored at the deodorization vessel 51 by the action of the spacer 49 and the gap can be controlled to a predetermined value to prevent the increase of the passageway resistance. The airtightness of the deodorization passageway 45 can be assured by a simple constitution that the sealing member 56A, 56B are brought into contact with both spiral type marginal parts of the catalyst fin 44 under pressure by the vessel cover 54.
