Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dilator with smaller puncture resistance for an operator to smoothly insert the dilator into a living body; and a sheath introducer equipped with the dilator. SOLUTION: The dilator has an inner lumen penetrating from the proximal end side to the distal end side. The dilator comprises a tube part on the proximal end side, a tapered part tapered from the distal end of the tube part toward the distal end side, and a distal end part formed to extend from the distal end of the tapered part toward the distal end side. A micro-taper, tapered toward the distal end side with a smaller inclination angle than the inclination angle at the distal end of the tapered part, is formed in the distal end part.
