TURNING DEVICE AND SECURITY APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning device and a security apparatus capable of realizing field angle adjustment of an imaging section, using a simple constitution, at a lower cost. SOLUTION: The security traveling apparatus (security apparatus) for monitoring a suspicious individual includes an imaging section holder 16 for holding the imaging section and turning about an axis center in a horizontal direction Y; and a turning mechanism section 17, including a drive motor driven unidirectionally and a driving force transmission mechanism section 172 for converting the driving force of the drive motor into a rotation driving force about the axis center in the horizontal direction and delivering the force to the imaging section holder, the driving force transmission mechanism section 172, includes a crank arm 1722 freely turnable about the axis center in the horizontal direction attendant on the rotation of the drive motor and a projective slider 1723 provided to a part of the crank arm different from part on the drive shaft of the crank arm; and the imaging section holder has an engaging groove part 1625, with which the projective slider is engaged and is freely turnable about the axis center in the horizontal direction, by the projective slider that is moved while being in slide movement along the inner surface of the engagement groove part, on the basis of the rotation drive of the drive motor.
