RIB FORMING DEVICE AND RIB FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out continuous rib formation stably while preventing occurrence of malfunction in ejection of the rib forming materials in the ejection port due to curing of the rib forming materials at the starting time of the ejection. SOLUTION: When forming the ribs on a substrate 9, by relatively moving the ejection port 422 that ejects the rib forming materials having photocurability along the substrate 9 against the substrate 9, at the starting time of the ejection of the rib forming materials, by means that a partial shielding is carried out on emitted light from the light-irradiation part 43 by a shielding member 451, the edge of the ejection port 422 side in an irradiation region on the substrate 9 of the emitted light becomes arranged being separated from the ejection port 422. After a very short time passes from the starting of the ejection of the rib forming materials, the partial shielding of the emitted light is released by moving the shielding member 451. By this, while the occurrence of malfunction in the ejection of the rib forming materials due to curing of the rib forming materials in the ejection port 422 at the ejection starting time can be prevented, the continuous rib formation can be carried out stably.
