INFORMATION WRITING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information writing device with increased operability and increased reliability of information written. SOLUTION: The information writing device 10, which has a slot 11 into which an information storage medium C can be inserted, an operation part 12 for generating a request to write information to the information storage medium C, and a writing means 30 for writing the information to the information storage medium C in response to the generation of the write request by the operation part 12, is provided with a cover 14 movable between a closing position to cover the slot 11 with the information storage medium C inserted thereto and an opening position to allow the information storage medium C to be inserted and removed through the slot, and a moving means 21a for moving the cover 14 from the closing position to the opening position in response to the generation of the write request by the operation part 12.
