PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrifying device capable of achieving an improvement in the cleaning efficiency of a needle and also the prolongation of the life of a cleaning member. SOLUTION: The electrifying device 1C is equipped with a needle electrode 2, a cleaning roller 205 and a supporting body 4. The needle electrode 2 has a plurality of needles 2A arranged in one direction. The cleaning roller 205 is arranged to freely move in the arranging direction of the plurality of needles 2A. The supporting body 4 rotatably supports the cleaning roller 205. When the cleaning roller 205 moves, the respective edge parts of the plurality of needles 2A are successively embedded in the inside from the surface of the cleaning roller 205, and then exposed from the inside of the cleaning roller 205. The cleaning roller 205 has a rotating roller 205A. The rotating roller 205A is made to freely move in a predetermined range in a rotary shaft direction Y orthogonal to the arranging direction X of the plurality of needles 2A, and the edge part of the needle 2A is made to be freely embedded in the peripheral surface of the rotating roller 205A.
