Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mother glass substrate which can be easily cut although it has high strength, a glass substrate, and a method for manufacturing the glass substrate. SOLUTION: The mother glass substrate 1 is cut at a cutting part so as to obtain the glass substrate. In the mother glass substrate 1, a tempered part 4 where is subjected to a chemical tempering treatment is provided on the outside of the cutting part, and a non-tempered part 3 not subjected to the chemical tempering treatment is provided in the cutting part.
