BRAKE DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR HOISTING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a brake device for an elevator hoisting machine capable of automating adjustment of a brake opening/closing mechanism part required along with wear of friction members by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The brake device for the elevator hoisting machine is provided with a brake wheel 1; the friction members 5 for braking rotation of the brake wheel 1; brake arms 3; energizing means 2 for energizing the brake arms 3; brake levers 7; a plunger 8 for opening the brake arms 3 via the brake levers 7 by withstanding the energizing force by the energizing means 2 to separate the brake wheel 1 from the friction members 5; an exciting coil 9 for driving the plunger 8; a groove 11 provided on the surface of the plunger 8 to control the operation of the plunger 8; spiral staircase-shaped steps provided on the lower face of the plunger 8 and on the contact face with the brake levers 7; and a pin 10 fitted into the groove 11 of the plunger 8 and vertically reciprocating and rotating the plunger 8.
