Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-resistant titanium oxide-glass composite material which can be manufactured by a convenient and inexpensive method and provide necessary and sufficient water resistance when used in water purification equipment, its manufacturing method and water purification equipment containing it. SOLUTION: A Ti/Si alkoxide dispersion formed by dispersing fine powder of titanium oxide in a Si alkoxide solution is sprayed onto a substrate composed of a glass material by spray coating under a specified gas pressure so as to form a film in which fine powder of titanium oxide constitutes a specific insular structure on the surface of the substrate. The resultant film is baked under specified temperature conditions to disperse silicon into the glass substrate in order to achieve a high adhesion between the photo-catalyst active layer and the substrate while retaining a high activity of the photo-catalyst.
